Would you like an opportunity to travel and work regionally? The role will be based in either Brazil or Mexico with up to 50% of time travelling either domestically or to other EMEA countries.

Amazon opened its doors in 1995 and strives to be the world's most customer-centric company, where customers can find and discover anything they might want to buy online.

Join our Design and Construction team as a Quality Manager and play a pivotal role in shaping project success from concept to completion. In this dynamic position, you'll drive excellence across the entire project lifecycle by establishing robust Quality, Commissioning and Turnover management processes that seamlessly integrate across all construction phases—from preconstruction through execution, commissioning, qualification, and go-live/handover.

As a strategic partner to cross-functional teams, you'll develop and implement a planned and structured delivery approach that begins during the early project stages and seamlessly progresses through Preconstruction, Execution, Commissioning, Qualification, and Turnover phases. You'll ensure quality standards are embedded throughout each phase, creating a cohesive handover process that sets our facilities up for operational excellence. This role offers the flexibility to adapt your approach based on project needs while maintaining a relentless focus on quality outcomes and successful facility transitions.

Key job responsibilities
• Lead quality management systems and KPI tracking across commissioning and turnover phases for regional project portfolio with periodic performance reviews
• Develop detailed execution plans for testing activities, manage schedules and budgets, and coordinate vendor representatives and resource requirements
• Deploy electronic turnover databases, oversee documentation processes, and ensure receipt of O&M manuals, training materials, and engineering databases
• Conduct progressive contractor audits to verify compliance with project, industry, and regulatory requirements throughout construction and commissioning
• Collaborate with Construction, RME, Operations, Design, and support teams to define turnover philosophy and resolve technical issues
• Drive contractor progress to completion, organize final system walkdowns, create risk-based punch lists, and verify completion of critical items
• Coordinate detailed area commissioning plans, inspect construction completion status, establish safety procedures, and monitor priority work areas

A day in the life
Your day begins supporting execution teams to deliver projects, working alongside construction managers, technical specialists, and contractors to resolve quality challenges on-site and ensure compliance with standards. You'll conduct inspections across mechanical, electrical, and structural systems, coach team members on quality processes, and facilitate seamless coordination between design, construction, and operations stakeholders. Using data and performance insights, you'll drive continuous improvement by analyzing trends in commissioning progress, defect patterns, and turnover documentation. This analysis informs tactical initiatives to refine quality management systems and enhance processes from preconstruction through final handover. Collaboration spans cross-functional teams, including procurement, cost, compliance, and technical vendor management, ensuring quality excellence throughout the project lifecycle and successful facility transitions to operations.
