Compensation: £90k base salary plus equity

Why we exist
Every decision a business makes, from the suppliers it trusts to the risks it accepts, eventually shows up as spend. This makes spend data the most honest record of how a company operates. Not the strategy deck or the org chart: spend describes what really happened.
This record exists, but it's scattered across dozens of systems and decades of legacy technology. Companies spending billions a year still can't easily answer: Who are our suppliers? Where are we exposed? What are we paying for twice?
We believe a business that can't see itself clearly can't make great decisions. Deducta exists to give the world's most complex organisations a true picture of how they operate, and the intelligence to act on it. Why this role matters
We plan to grow the team substantially over the next year, and our hiring bar will shape what Deducta becomes. This role owns searches end to end across our most important hires, so we can build an exceptional team without depending on external agencies. You'll report to the Chief of Staff.
This isn't a recruiting coordination role. You'll recruit across product, engineering, customer, GTM and operations, build pipelines from scratch, and shape how Deducta hires, from interview design to employer brand.
What you'll do
End-to-end searches: Own searches from role definition and sourcing strategy through assessment, closing, references and offer.
Proactive sourcing: Find and engage exceptional candidates directly, rather than relying on inbound applications or external agencies.
Hiring manager partnership: Work with leadership and hiring managers to define what great looks like and turn it into a focused search.
Assessment and closing: Assess candidates' capabilities, motivations and trajectory with strong judgement, and help us win the people we want.
Candidate experience: Keep every process fast and well communicated, with a high bar for every interaction.
Recruiting systems: Build and improve interview design, scorecards, pipeline reporting and our use of Ashby, and help build our talent network and employer brand.

Strong pipelines: Our highest-priority roles have strong pipelines of exceptional candidates, and we hire without depending on external recruiters.
Clear visibility: Leadership has a clear view of pipeline health, trade-offs and next steps.
Great candidate experience: Candidates move through the process quickly and consistently have an excellent experience.
Scalable process: Our recruiting processes become more rigorous and scalable as the company grows.
Who you are
We're looking for an experienced recruiter who combines excellent sourcing with strong judgement and high ownership, and who is comfortable working as a hands-on individual contributor. Experience at high-growth technology companies is strongly preferred, but a background in our industry isn't required.
You might be the right fit if you have:
5+ years of top-tier recruiting: You've owned challenging searches from kickoff through close in competitive markets.
Exceptional sourcing: You know how to find and engage candidates who aren't actively applying.
Candidate judgement: You get beyond a CV to assess capability, trajectory, motivation and fit.
Commercial instinct: You know recruiting is partly about identifying talent and partly about winning it.
Clear communication: You build credibility with candidates and hiring managers and keep everyone informed throughout a process.
Operational discipline: You keep pipelines organised, follow through relentlessly and use data to see where a search is working or breaking down.
Nice to have: Experience recruiting across product, engineering, customer or commercial roles at an early-stage technology company.
