Responsibilities
- Conduct privacy reviews and provide consultation requests from GBO teams seeking privacy guidance related to their launches. Design and implement privacy-protective solutions.
- Guide engineering and product teams during product development to ensure their data collection and usage practices are transparent and protect user privacy.
- Conduct technical and policy reviews to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns.
- Respond to Privacy incidents, including root cause analysis and managing remediation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams on topics related to privacy, security, data protection and data storage.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience designing solutions that maintain or enhance the privacy posture of the organization by analyzing and assessing proposed engineering designs (e.g., product features, infrastructure systems) and influencing stakeholders.
- 2 years of experience applying privacy technologies (e.g., differential privacy, automated access management solutions, etc.), and customizing existing solutions and frameworks to meet organizational needs.
- Experience in privacy, business communication, privacy data handling, information privacy, and privacy design documents.
- Experience with risk analysis, risk assessments, risk management and data analytics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience balancing risks in ambiguous and complex situations with multiple stakeholders.
- Experience managing multiple high priority requests, while determining resource allocation (e.g., time, prioritization) to solve the problems in a fast-paced, changing organization.
- Experience with privacy-enhancing technologies (e.g., differential privacy, federated learning, and secure multi-party computation).
- Experience with AI/ML privacy, including model privacy, data minimization in training sets, or synthetic data generation.
- Knowledge of common regulatory frameworks (e.g., General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA)).
- Ability to resolve high-stakes policy/product conflicts by communicating technical risks to both technical and non-technical executive stakeholders.
