As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using your engineering expertise. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project lifecycle. This includes managing project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating them to project stakeholders. You're equally at home explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical trade-offs in product development with engineers.
Using your extensive technical and leadership expertise, you manage various Engineering-specific programs and teams.

This role requires navigating ambiguity, driving execution, and partnering with senior leadership within Search and across other product areas. Responsibilities
- Manage, mentor, and support the existing team of Search Security Technical Program Managers.
- Provide oversight for critical security efforts for Search, drive clarity and strategic decisions with cross-functional stakeholders, and provide clear communication and visibility to leadership.
- Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to define, shape, and evolve the long-term Search Security strategy and roadmap.
- Apply technical, business, and program management expertise to identify, assess, track, and mitigate security risks across Search products and infrastructure.
- Build and maintain strong, strategic partnerships with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Trust and Safety, Data Protection and Risk, Engineering, and Product Management, to drive alignment and land impactful changes.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience in program management.
- 7 years of experience in leadership role(s) with/without direct reports.
Preferred qualifications:
- 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
- Experience in the security domain, search infrastructure, or cyber security.
- Experience interacting with different technical and non-technical audiences spanning all functions and organizational levels.
- Experience influencing and delivering solutions in a highly complex and changing environment.
