- Design, build, and launch features for Google Cloud network observability products such as VPC Flow Logs, Cloud Next Generation Firewall logging, and Cloud NAT logging.
- Write and test code for large-scale, real-time data processing systems that turn network telemetry into logs and metrics customers rely on.
- Work with product managers and partner engineering teams to understand customer needs and turn them into technical designs.
- Keep production services healthy by monitoring, debugging, and resolving issues, including taking part in the on-call rotation.
- Use AI tools to improve how you design, build, test, and operate software.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in analyzing and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in computer networking, including an understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP), network topologies, and network management principles.
- Experience in developer productivity, observability, or cloud infrastructure.
