The successful candidate will provide high-quality, patient-centred care to our registered and temporary patient population and will manage a varied and interesting clinical caseload.
Responsibilities include:
Face-to-face surgery consultations
Telephone and remote consultations
Home visits where clinically appropriate
Reviewing and signing repeat prescriptions
Managing clinical correspondence, referrals, results and associated paperwork in a timely manner
Making autonomous clinical decisions regarding presenting problems
Assessing and managing patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed conditions
Identifying disease risk factors and early signs of illness
Developing personalised care plans in partnership with patients
Referring patients appropriately to community and secondary care services
Working collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team
Undertaking the full range of duties expected of a GP working within primary care

We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team for 6-8 sessions per week (with flexibility to increase sessions for the right candidate).
Based in the thriving market town of Newtown on the beautiful Shropshire-Powys border, we enjoy the best of both worlds: stunning countryside and outdoor pursuits on our doorstep, while remaining within easy reach of Shrewsbury, Chester and Birmingham. We care for approximately 13,500 patients and are led by four GP Partners, supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality patient care and looking after one another.
