Advance Your Career with Dewerstone Medical Group

Are you seeking the next step in your career within a progressive, collaborative, and supportive medical group? Dewerstone Medical Group invites enthusiastic and dedicated professionals to join our well-established team, centrally located in the vibrant coastal city of Plymouth offering scenic sea views and excellent access to the surrounding countryside.

We are currently recruiting additional Salaried General Practitioners, with the potential for future partnership opportunities. We are ideally seeking candidates who can offer up to 8 sessions per week. A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with experience, with scope for enhanced remuneration for special interests or additional responsibilities.

We actively encourage the development of clinical specialisms aligned with the needs of our patient population and welcome applicants with particular areas of interest.

This opportunity is well-suited to both newly qualified and experienced GPs. Comprehensive support is available, including mentorship if required.

This post will involve cross working between both sites, and the opportunity to work within our Acute Care Hub.

To use professional skill and knowledge to provide a high standard of primary and continuing medical care to patients in line with the GMS contract

Contribute to the delivery of patient services in line with ICB requirements

Dewerstone Medical Group (Budshead Medical Practice & Oakside Surgery) is deeply committed to fostering a supportive and inclusive working environment, where all staff are encouraged to develop professionally. Our team benefits from a diverse group of experienced clinicians, managers, and GP partners who contribute to a collaborative and collegial practice culture.

As established training practices, we take pride in our role in medical education. We are supported by two experienced GP trainers and are actively involved in the supervision and development of GP registrars, foundation doctors, medical students, designated medical prescribers (including nurses, paramedics, and pharmacists), and VTS nurses.

We are also at the forefront of innovation within our Primary Care Network (PCN), leading the development of an advanced model for acute presentations through our PCN Acute Hub Pilot, supported by a wide multidisciplinary team.

If you are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and have an interest in medical education or research, we would be pleased to hear from you.
