We are looking for a Flight Structures Test Engineer to plan, build, and execute the component and structural tests that prove our hardware is ready to fly.
Test is where analysis meets reality. Your data will qualify our hardware, validate our models, and give the team the evidence needed to make the next design decision. You will work closely with structural analysis, mechanical design, manufacturing, and the workshop to develop reliable test setups and high-quality results.
About us
We’re a Germany-based rocketry startup currently in stealth mode, scaling up rapidly to meet the demand for high-performance, reliable, and scalable solid propulsion technologies for space and defense applications.
We are already launching suborbital and ballistic rockets on a regular basis, have just crossed €10m in revenue for our first operating year and are applying our knowledge toward the development of an orbital rocket.
We are working hard to build something truly spectacular.
To thrive here you will need to be comfortable working at pace, with the autonomy to make decisions and execute on them quickly. If you’re excited by hard technical challenges and want a role where you will make a real difference each day to the future of the company, we may be the place for you.
At our company, job titles and career progression are earned, not determined by years of experience alone. They reflect the responsibility you take on and the dedication you bring to each project. If you’re ready to rise to the challenge, we’d love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities
Plan and execute structural and component tests, including proof, burst, and mechanical-load testing.
Design and build test setups, fixtures, and load-introduction systems with the design and workshop teams.
Instrument test articles with strain gauges, pressure sensors, displacement sensors, and other measurement systems.
Set up data acquisition, process and evaluate test data, and correlate results with structural analysis.
Write test plans, procedures, reports, and technical documentation that hold up to review.
Help build structural-test capability from the ground up, including safety procedures for pressurised testing.
What we are looking for
A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline.
First hands-on experience in structural or component testing through industry, research, or a student engineering team.
Practical understanding of strain gauges, sensors, instrumentation, and data-acquisition systems.
A safety-conscious and structured approach, combined with a willingness to work hands-on with hardware and test equipment.
Fluent English and the ability to document technical work clearly.
Desirable experience
Hydrostatic or pneumatic pressure testing.
Python, MATLAB, or similar tools for test-data processing and evaluation.
Data-acquisition systems, test-bench automation, or test-facility development.
Working proficiency in German.
Benefits and important information:
We offer top-decile compensation packages, bonuses and meaningful equity, to attract exceptional aerospace talent.
Every employee is awarded stock options in the company, you will directly benefit from your own hard work and success.
Comprehensive relocation support including flights, shipping and visas.
Lunch, dinner and drinks provided everyday
Free access to shared company housing
Please note, we are a fast paced, hyper-scaling startup. You will need to be comfortable working extended hours with high levels of autonomy, ownership, and flexibility, with contracts structured around a 48-hour working week.
We are committed to building an equitable and inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, has equal access to opportunity, and can thrive. We welcome different perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences—and believe our differences make us stronger.
