Your responsibilities as a General Practitioner;

The following are the core responsibilities of the General Practitioner. There may be on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels

Stowhealth is an inclusive, friendly, flexible, forward thinking, multi-disciplinary Primary Care team, based in Stowmarket, Suffolk. We currently care for over 23,000 patients in the beautiful mid-Suffolk area, with good access to the Suffolk coast, historic Bury st Edmunds, Cambridge and London.

We have a fantastically diverse clinical team with nurses, physician associates, ACP's, ANP's, paramedics, HCA's and pharmacists.

Together we deliver same day access care, award winning long term condition care and health promotion activities. Our approach was included as a case study in the GP Access Recovery Plan.

We use SystmOne and askmyGP to facilitate effective and efficient ways of working.

Our most recent CQC inspection rated us 'Good' overall with 'Outstanding' for the 'Well led' domain. We achieve maximum QOF points and are a training practice for GP Registrars and FY2 Doctors.

We work hard to reduce the clinical and administrative burden on clinicians by making best use of our data team, care coordinators, care navigators, clinician assistants and cutting edge IT systems, recently embracing automated pathology filing, LTC monitoring and recall and AI letter processing.

Our medication management hub and practice pharmacist deal with the majority of medication queries.

We have a first contact physiotherapist to triage MSK problems
