The Cornerstone Practice in March is looking for a friendly, reliable and experienced Phlebotomist to join our busy nursing team.
We need someone who can hit the ground running, work confidently and independently, and provide a safe, efficient and caring blood-taking service.
You will be running booked phlebotomy clinics, so excellent venepuncture skills, accuracy and the ability to keep clinics running smoothly are essential.
Previous hands-on phlebotomy experience is essential.
20 hours per week, Monday to Friday, at £13.00 per hour.
Undertake venepuncture for adult patients attending booked clinics.
Confidently manage routine blood tests and patients with difficult venous access.
Correctly identify patients and ensure blood samples are accurately labelled and handled.
Maintain accurate patient records using SystmOne.
Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
Support anxious patients and provide a calm, reassuring service.
Work independently while supporting the wider nursing and reception teams.
Maintain safe, efficient and well-organised clinics.
The Cornerstone Practice is a busy GP practice based in March, Cambridgeshire, providing care to approximately 9,500 patients.
Our established multidisciplinary team includes GPs, Advanced Nurse Practitioners, nurses, paramedics, healthcare assistants and administrative colleagues.
