Google Cloud and AI Sales Manager, Mid-Market: EMEA

The Google Cloud SMB Sales team helps customers transform and evolve their business through the use of Google’s global network, web-scale data centers, software infrastructure and industry leading AI technology. As part of an entrepreneurial team in this rapidly growing business, you will help shape the future of growing a mid-sized business.

As a Sales Manager in the Small and Medium Business (SMB) segment, you will lead a team of sales executives to over deliver on their sales targets, while providing a great customer experience. You will work cross-functionally with stakeholders globally across customer engineering, sales development, marketing, partner, program management, and support teams to optimize the customer experience and drive strong business growth in the SMB segment. You will be a advocate for the strong collaborative culture of SMB EMEA.

Responsibilities

• Build and grow a Google Cloud & AI business Mid-Market Sales team.
• Optimize the team for scale and growth by acquiring new customers and increasing business from existing customers.
• Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to grow the business and deliver sales targets (e.g., marketing, sales development and partner teams).
• Test and iterate on new approaches to grow business in this segment, working closely with our partner team and our vendors, as well as working on programmatic initiatives to increase growth.
• Develop and implement best practices, ensuring the team is up to date with the newest trends and improve team skills through development and training.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10 years of experience working within the Software/Infrastructure/Platform-as-a-Service (SaaS, IaaS, PaaS) market.
• 5 years of experience in people management.
• 2 years of sales management experience.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience in an SMB or inside sales leadership.
• Frontline sales experience.
• Technology sales experience focused on breaking into accounts and working on net new customer acquisition.
  
• Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop sales individuals, with effective leadership capabilities.
• Demonstrated organizational and project management capabilities, with the ability to multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
