The YouTube User Experience (UX) team is a multi-disciplinary community of designers, user researchers, content strategists, motion designers, and design technologists. Together, we power experiences used by over two billion monthly viewers and millions of creative creators globally across mobile, web, living room devices, and emerging platforms.
Our goal is to make video accessible, engaging, and valuable for everyone, everywhere. We believe that thoughtful design can bridge cultures, amplify voices, and build meaningful digital communities.
As a UX Designer Intern at YouTube, you will address complex, real-world product challenges. You won't just be making mock ups, you will own design work, contribute to active feature launches, and collaborate directly with cross-functional partners.
During your internship, you will be embedded within a core product domain (such as Creator Ecosystems, Living Room & TV Platforms, Main App Experience, Shorts, or Learning & Community). A dedicated senior designer will mentor you throughout the program to guide your professional growth and help you navigate design at scale.
Google is and always will be an engineering company. We hire people with a broad set of technical skills who are ready to address some of technology's greatest challenges and make an impact on millions, if not billions, of users. At Google, engineers not only revolutionize search, they routinely work on massive scalability and storage solutions, large-scale applications and entirely new platforms for developers around the world. From Google Ads to Chrome, Android to YouTube, Social to Local, Google engineers are changing the world one technological achievement after another.
