The department of Trauma and Orthopaedics is seeking to appoint a Trust Grade CT level doctor to join our busy team, working alongside 14 consultants and 12 specialist registrars. This post will join the established 1 in 10 Orthopaedic on call rota with our CT 1/ 2, F2 trainees and Trust Grade Doctors. In addition, we have 2 full time Orthogeriatric Consultants, with 4 ward based middle grade orthogeriatric doctors providing joint care for our elderly patients. We are a dedicated cohesive multi-disciplinary team and strive for excellence in all aspects of the service.
As a department we invest in our team and promote training and education opportunities as well as supporting career progression. We are proud of the rota we offer our junior doctors, which ensures a balance of elective and emergency duties across all lines. This will include clinics, theatre and oncall responsibilities. All Trust Grade doctors have timetables equivalent to our training doctors with an allocated training budget.
We are seeking applicants with a minimum of 12 months' relevant experience within the National Health Service, who have completed foundation year 1 or equivalent and MRCS examination by date of appointment. Our aim is to start the successful candidate in December 2026, or as soon as possible.
