Main area: Acute medicine Grade: ST 3-5 Contract: Permanent Hours: Full time Site: Princess Alexandra Hospital Town: HarlowMain duties of the job The successful candidate will work at Princess Alexandra Hospital, within the Acute Medicine Department which is part of the Urgent & Emergency Care division. The Acute Medicine Department has recently undergone a number of changes. Currently we staff a 28 bedded Adult Assessment Unit which aims to have a length of stay of less than 24 hours. Working in partnership with this area is a 28 bedded Medical Short Stay Ward (Charnley Ward) which provides care for patients with a 72 hour short-stay in hospital. We are also responsible for a dedicated Same Day Emergency Care Unit co-located to the Emergency Department.The Princess Alexandra Hospital NHS Trust (PAHT) is proud to care for the communities of West Essex, delivering safe, compassionate, and high-quality services.
